Happy New Year..
For the first time since Chad and I have been together, (this was our 9th New Year's) we decided to stay at the house. As most of you know we have been under the weather and had a rough time of it this weekend. Chad even called in sick! Amazing... I know!! As we were expecting our little ones were not far behind. Brooklyn has had a horrible fever that has stayed around 102 since Monday afternoon. We made a new years eve trip to the dr, but all he could tell us was she had the same bad cold! YUCK!
So in saying that we came home and I rocked Brooklyn (poor baby), while Chad and Kaylee popped fire works. She loved the pop pops you throw on the ground. And that was probably the highlight of the evening. We put the girls down for bed about 8:00 and we hit the hay about 10:00. Lame I know, but unbenounced to us we would be pulling a all nighter like everyone else. Brooklyn was miserable and was awake most of the night. All we could do was keep her medicated and cuddled. Needless to say we could use a nap!
2007 AT A GLANCE
2007 has came and went, I can not believe how much has happened this year. It has gone by so fast it seems we loose track of time with these two rug rats.. Here is a quick glimpse of 2007 for The Davis'.
Our first big event of 2007 came in March, our little Kaylee Poo turned ONE! We had a great party with a huge moonwalk in our back yard. We were so lucky to have so many family and friends able to celebrate her big day. Looking back at pictures blows my mind on how much she has matured and how much hair my bald headed baby has now.
Of course, we had a big change soon after Kalyee's birthday.. Brooklyn was ready to take the spot light! Brooklyn Mae Davis was born on June 8th 2007, weighing in at 7 lbs, 3 oz. I still can not believe Chad and I are parents. We are so lucky to be blessed with two healthy, happy baby girls. Brooklyn is such a great baby, she loves her sissy and loves to watch Kaylee run around.

Our other large change in our life has been our change of address. We finally bit the bullet and put our house on the market in late September. To every one's surprise two weeks later we had a contract. I was very nervous of how I would feel leaving our first home, the home were we brought both of our little girls to as newborns, but I was pleased when I realized it was all for our future. The nice LARGE apartment didn't hurt the transition either.
With the address change also changed my occupation. No more stay at home mom for me,I was a full time working mom and the roller coaster began. We have been SOOOO Blessed that my mom has the option of watching the girls. All of us hate to see the girls go to a day care and all agreed me working was not worth it if that was the option. And so the girls are off to Memaw's and Papa's every morning, and they LOVE IT!!! I could not ask for a better situation, they are loved, cared for, and most of all spoiled rotten. My dad comes home a couple times each day to see the girls and gets off about 4:00 so he can sneak Papa time in before I pick them up.
As you can see our year has been very very life changing. I think we have so much ahead for our family and can not wait to see what this new year brings!
