Aquarium Dowtown

This last week we took a family trip to the Aquarium downtown, as you can see Kaylee had a blast. She liked how she could be right up close to the fish and other animals. She did great considering we went during her nap time and it was only about 100 degrees outside.

We are getting very excited about our trip to Dallas next week and our vacation at the lake later this month. We are in need of some time away from the chores at home. And it will also be nice to have some relaxation and help with the kiddos. Lately I have relied heavily on my Parents to give Chad and I a break every now and again. I am so glad they are so madly in love with the girls, they never say no to a babysitting request. I really do not know what other people do who do not have family near by.

1 month old

Here are some great pic's of the girls, Brooklyn is 1 month old TODAY!!! Kaylee will be 16 months on Sunday. They are both doing great, I think Kaylee's teeth has finally came in and Brooklyn's gas has gotten a little better.

4th of July

Rain, Rain, Go Away! That's pretty much all that happened on the 4th! We had plans to spend the day at the pool and then BBQ like most Americans on the 4th but mother nature changed our plans. We did get a chance to have a lazy day at home and sleep in. About 4:00 we went over to the Gallands for BBQ and Fireworks. Luckily we caught a break in the weather for a couple hours so we could enjoy the dinner and let the kids run around for a few.

Kaylee was of course all over the fireworks, she loved the sparklers but unfortunately was asleep by the time we brought the big ones out. Brooklyn on the other hand was awake and did not even flinch. Once we got home we had some issues...from Brooklyn not wanting to go to sleep (gas I am sure.), I had a horrible head ache and Kaylee was up and down most of the night. Poor Chad had about 4 hours of sleep! I guess we will learn our lesson on staying out late on of these days.

Night Out

Chad and I are so lucky to have my parents close by and willing to take on the challenge of watching a 15 month old and a 3 week old over night. They must love them a bunch! ON Friday night Chad and I dropped the girls off at my parents and went out with a bunch of friends for dinner and dancing. We were celebrating Erin and my birthday with a fun night with adults only! We had a blast and finally got home at about 3AM! The next morning I was wishing we came home after dropping the girls off and just went to sleep, definitely would have been smarter to catch up on our Z's.

It was very nice to have a night out and get all dressed up again with out looking like a whale. It is so nice to get out of the car with out getting 5 bags or have dinner and be able to use both your hands for yourself. But I did miss my little girls so much and could not wait to see them the next day.
