Hard Days

The last two days have been a big test for me, Kaylee has been extremely whiny and Marilyn and I both thought it was from her missing Nanny so much. I was fixing to go insane when I decided to check for new teeth and low and behold she had 4 (THAT"S RIGHT FOUR!!) new ones about half way out of the gums. Poor baby. On top of that she has a yeast infection, nice I know. I would be whining like crazy myself. Then we move on to Brooklyn who is still a GREAT baby thus far. She is having a really bad gas issue that makes her fussy throughout the day. I just started trying a new formula to see if she is lactose intolerant and a couple new bottles as well, We will see if this helps. As for me after a couple LONG days and Chad working super late I am looking forward to Chad being off tomorrow.

On another note I wanted to let everyone know we have listed our 4 wheeler on Craigs list. I am very excited since this puts us one step closer to being debt free! We have had 3 offers so far and as I type Chad is showing a potential buyer in our garage. Stay tuned for the outcome.

new pic's

Here is a quick peek at the newest pictures for the announcements. And a awesome close up of Kaylee.

Toys R Us

Literally, we have a million toys, and with Nanny here a week I think we added about 100 additional toys. Now Kaylee has plenty of items to keep her attention through out the day. It is funny to see her so wiped out at the end of the day from just staying home and playing. Her newest toy is a slide and she is of course fearless. She has gone down it about 100 times. It is very nice to see her so happy and it gives me a much needed time away with Brooklyn.

First Bath

Brooklyn had her first bath and unlike most infants she loved it. It seemed like she was just relaxing in the sink. We took a ton of pic's since she was so calm. We will see if this reaction to water last when we add Kaylee to the tub!!! Should make for great photo's... Stay Tuned!

Thank God for Sleepy Heads...

Kaylee has been testing my patience as far as naps go, but over the past few days including Chad's last day of vacation she has given us the wonderful gift of sleep. She slept in on Chad's last vaca day until 10:00... and can you believe Brooklyn did too. They also let me get a 2 HOUR nap in on Saturday. It was great. As far as Brooklyn goes she has been a great sleeper (thus far) she is waking up around 2 x's a night and then she goes right back to sleep.

I am so happy with my girls...I love taking care of them, it does take all my time but it is so rewarding. Having a newborn reminds me how fast they grow up. Kaylee is changing every day, she now has a very large vocabulary and can pretty much copy any word you say. Marilyn "Nanny" came down on Father's Day to visit. Kaylee loves her new play pal, Nanny even found out the one thing Kaylee is afraid of... the elmo bird. It is HILARIOUS! She freaks out if it touches her, so we taught her to say "No, No" and hit the bird with a maraca. You can see the bird in the pic.

So our week goes on, we will be sending out announcements soon, we just had pictures made today. I will update asap.

The first week home.

We are coming up on the end of Brooklyn's first week and it has been some what uneventful. Chad has been off so we have been trying to relax and soak it up as much as possible. Every day we ask each other what we are going to do that day... and after diaper changes, naps, feedings, and trying to get alone time with Kaylee is it 5:00 before we know it.

We have had two Dr's visits to follow up on Brooklyn's jaundice. We got the results today and everything is great, we will not have to go back until next week. This was great news since traveling as a family of four in a tiny Honda is near impossible. Chad and I knew a larger car was in our future but were originally thinking we would look next year. Our minds have changed from the issues this week and we are going to look tomorrow at a Tahoe.

As far as Kaylee goes she is changing into a great big sister, she has her moments that have tested our patience but over all she has been okay. She loves Brooklyn so much, and looks for her every morning in our room. She also kisses on her all throughout the day. She just is not old enough to understand she can not clap Brooklyn's hands or touch her head roughly. She will learn. I also feel bad for feeling like she is taking it hard and blaming her crankiness on that, today I found she had another tooth coming through and I know she is cranky from that too. Poor baby! Other than that she is blabbing like crazy, she just learned " No, No" which has been so much fun as you might imagine!

And so our crazy life continues I will try to update with pic's as much as possible. When I have time.

Brooklyn Mae Davis

She is here.... After about 9 hours of contractions and 2 pushes Brooklyn Mae Davis was born. (I know I would hate me too.) She is 7 lbs 3 oz and is 19 inches long. The biggest shocker is her BROWN HAIR, we are not sure what to do with it. : ) We just got home on Sunday about 1:00pm and are very glad to be back with Kaylee Poo! She was soooo excited to see us but had a double take (literally) when she saw the baby with us. Very Funny.

As far as Brooklyn, she is doing great! She eats about every 3 hours and sleeps all the time (for now). She had a chest X-ray at the hospital b/c she was having some oxygen level issues but everything came out fine. We will be going to the Dr on Tuesday to get her Billirubin levels checked again, she was a little yellow when we left, but only as a precaution. Anyway, I will put more and more pic's as I download them. We love everyone and thank everyone for there calls...

Last Day

Okay today is the day I go in to the hospital, Chad will be dropping me off around 4:15 this afternoon. I am getting really nervous..... We have been doing laundry, dishes, the check book, the yard, still packing and trying to get as much fun stuff in for Kaylee as possible. I really feel like we are missing something! Anyway, wish me luck. Chad will be sending updates and pic's as usual so all him if he is slacking.

Working on a full house

Yes, that is correct or at least in Chad's head... In just a few short days we will be a family of 3 girls and 1 boy. My lovely husband, you know that sweet innocent guy as you all see him, decided to bring up the conversation of working on a third child!~ IS HE CRAZY! He is dead set on having all his children with in 2 years of each other. I seriously thought he was delusional when he was bringing this up BEFORE the second one was even here! Needless to say it will be a topic up for discussion later on in our lives and we do think we will have one more....maybe. Just thought this would make all the other mommies laugh. : )

Vroom Vroom...

She loves her Vroom Vroom, its really funny to see her pucker her lips to say it too. Its funny to see other kids so scared of loud noises (lawn mowers, 4 wheelers, trucks etc) not Kaylee. She followed Chad around the entire yard while he was mowing. I guess she gets that from her Daddy

Water Bug

Who knew Kaylee would love the water so much, she has gone to a new level as of yesterday. She now is completley not afraid of going under. She will not let you hold her in the baby pool and when she falls under water she just waits for you to save her. I am glad she holds her breathe but I really wish she had some kind of fear towards it. Here is a new pic from the Caroline's birthday party, once again she is showing her muscles. Goof Ball!

Kaylee's New Habit

Well, As most of you know allready our little Kaylee never took to a pacifier, this was both good and bad at the time. Today I was sitting in the living room and out walks little miss priss with a pacifier that she riped off Brooklyn's diaper cake. It was so funny, she loved it, and she ran when I would come anywhere near her thinking I was going to take it from her. I will post a pick of our toddler with a binky, she looks pretty cute. Oh and don't worry...once I took out her yum yum's she forgot all about it!
