Chunky
Brooklyn is such a chunk!! She recently had her 6 month check up at the dr and weighed in at 16lbs 12 oz (which is in the 75%) and was 25 inches long (the 25%). So basically she is still short and a little fatty. She has had a little bit of trouble eating solid food lately, Kaylee and her both had a little tummy virus which left them unsure of eating again. I love how many rolls she has...EVERYWHERE! They are so cute, hard to get food out of but cute. She has been such a great baby, she has been sleeping through the night a couple times all ready, but usually wakes up once for a bottle. She also just recently started holding her own bottle which makes night time feedings painless. I really think she will be such a great addition to our family with her personality. She is so happy all the time and loves to see her big sissy play, she can not stand not being able to run and jump around with Kaylee. Here are some updated pic's of my little one.

I love the Holidays...
The Girls have really enjoyed the season this year. It is so cute to here Kaylee ask about Santa and Christmas Trees every day. Here are a c0uple pic's from Old Town Spring last weekend. Of course I decorated the apartment for the Christmas.. luckily I had Marliyn here a couple days around Thanksgiving to help distract the kids while I decorated. I love having our tree and lights up, it just makes the apartment feel more like a home. So far we have loved living here, we really lucked out getting this apartment. We have rarely missed our house which I thought I would be miserable with out. Having no mortgage has been VERY nice.. we have made a few purchases with our new cash flow... including a TV and a new computer (Thank God !). We also finally are one payment away from paying off our last credit card. Our next big payoff will be Chad's truck which we are aiming to finish by the end of the summer. WE had plans to build on our land out in Magnolia but are looking at other options. We will most likely stay in the apartment as long as possible and then look for land closer to build on or buy a home in Spring or Tomball with a little acreage. Not sure yet, but its fun to have the options!

Santa and the girls

We went to Old Town Spring this weekend and had some great Christmas experiences with the girls. We had pic's taken with Santa and rode a train ride several times with Kaylee. Santa even rode the train with Kaylee and Papa, she was very excited and thought everyone was waving at her the entire ride. She did not however like sitting on Santa's lap. She will talk about Santa all day but when its time for her turn to tell him what she wants she wants no part of it.
Update... As of today we have resolved the computer issue. We bit the bullet and purchased a new HP lap top and I will get it up and running tonight. I never relized how much I rely on a computer these days. Its as bad as a cell phone I think, I do everything on it and can not stand having to travel to my parents to google something or do update my checkbook. Anyway, just be looking for updates on a regualr basis..

Wanted: New Computer!!
Well no picture updates today, our computer is still on the fritz and we decided to purchase a new TV yesterday instead of replacing it. Funny how our priorities are lately!
The girls are doing great lately...we had Nanny down from Dallas for Thanksgiving and had a HUGE meal at my parents house. It was really nice to have everyone sitting down at the table saying what they are thankful for. Even Kaylee piped in saying she was thankful for Popsicles! We practiced that for a while before it was her turn. Other than that we are having a normal holiday season. Chad works 6 days a week, he is off on Wednesday's to watch the girls. I believe the next day off I have with him is Christmas, so it is very hard to feel like a family this time of year if you are never together... The price we pay for the life we want!
Kaylee has been talking up a storm, she tries to say EVERYTHING you say, and has started saying 2-3 words in a row. It is so cute. Brooklyn has been teething so she is grumpy a lot lately, but she has also been switched to her crib instead of the swing. She definitely likes it better. She still wakes up a lot at night but not nearly as much as she used to in the swing.
I hope everyone has a great holiday season... I really hope we get to see everyone soon, our last few months have been so hectic that we are having with drawls from not visiting with our friends and family. Maybe I can make more of an effort, but it is so nice to relax on my few days with the girls.

Halloween 2007
We have had a lot going on as much of you know...On Halloween Day we closed on our home...finally, I had a huge property take over at work and we celebrated Halloween. You would think that was enough for one week but no, we had to add more! Chad actually starts his new job today (Friday) as the Asst Store Mgr at 1960. He is very excited and is hoping for a chance to move up quickly. Also on our plate is the craft show me and my friends are doing. We have put a lot of time and effort into making this go off with out a hitch. My friends April and Erin have done the bulk of the craft show details and sadly we will be one man down at the show since April just had her beautiful baby girl yesterday (Nov 1st) 7lbs, 15oz, Sarah Beth Rose Landes

Anyway.. On to Halloween~
So every year before Halloween we have a tradition of pumpkin carving with the whole family at my parents house, and once again we all got together to show our creativity and make a HUGE mess. Kaylee really hated the pumpkin seeds but warmed up to it after a while.

Halloween day came quickly after and the girls were ready to go... They were both cheerleaders and looked so cute. Kaylee even borrowed her cousin Britney's real pom poms . We ended up trick or treating at my parents house for most of the night, then we went by the church were Kaylee goes to MDO for a carnival. Even with 3 bags of M&M's Kaylee was ready for bed when we finally got home.

I wanted to add a couple additional pic's of the girls I have taken over the last few weeks. I can not believe I have not added to the blog in so long. We actually thought our computer had crashed for a few days, but luckily it starting working again. Kaylee just got the cutest jammies, they have monkeys all over them and look adorable. I will try and add things more often again. I just have had a tough couple weeks and the holiays are right around the corner. AHHH! Wish me luck!

Punkin Head!

Today I ventured to the pumpkin patch with out the help of Chad, I did however have a couple friends to help out with the girls. We had so much fun and we could not have picked a better day. Kaylee had a blast on the hay ride and the big slide. Once again she was the smallest kid on the slide, and I did not look like a good mom b/c of that! But she did great and even was up for climbing on the mountain of pumpkins.
Later on she decided it would be fun to take Brooklyn on a ride in the shopping cart. I supervised, of course...Very Cute.

Home Sweet Home.

Well, we made it! Chad and I worked all Monday night and through the day on Tuesday and finally finished. Well we actually have the garage, attic and stuff from the back yard but everything else is done! I put some pic's of our new digs for you to see. I am so glad we were fortunate enough to get this large apt. I could not imagine anythign smaller.
On a sad note.... Chris, my sisters good friend that was shot in his truck on 1960 back on 2005 died today. After 2 1/2 years of fighting he finally went with the Lord and is in a better place. I am very sad to hear this but I know know one would want to be in his position for that long and I am glad he left his broken body. Please pray for his family and Allie to come to peace with his passing, they are taking it really hard.
We love you Chris and will miss you!

OMG !!!
Today I packed my first box for the BIG MOVE, and all I can say is OMG. I really reallly have no idea how we are going to pull this off with two little ones and two full time jobs. I feel so overwhelmed, not to mention so exhausted, and I have only packed 10 boxes thus far.
Anyway, just wanted to let you know what I am thinking about all this. I feel for anyone who has moved out of a house!

SALE PENDING!

Yes, you heard me right, we have just finished negotiations on a contract and will be moving OCTOBER 31ST!!! I am VERY overwhelmed just thinking of the stress I am in for over the next few weeks. Chad and I only have 2 days off together in the whole month of Oct which does not even start until Oct 20th. So I am actually unsure on how we will pull this off. I might be calling in a few favors on watching the girls, so any volunteers would be appreciated : )
Anyway, wish us luck that the inspection goes off without a hitch and that we get everything in order. I will post some pic's of our new apartment. It's actually really nice.

Great Pic's

Lately I have taken a couple great photos of the girls! First of all, Brooklyn has the sadest frowney face in the world. We are in BIG trouble with this girl. You have to give her whatever she wants when she gets upset, just to make her happy again.
Over at my parents house the nieghbors have a hammock, and Kaylee loves to swing in it. I put Brooklyn with her this time and probably got the best pic's I have of them together.

OUR BIG DREAM

Okay I finally took some pic's of our land in Magnolia, and downloaded a couple floor plans we are looking at. We will have our house on the market as of Friday and all ready have an apartment lined up to move into as of October. I know we have stalled on starting this project in the past but we really think we can pull it off this time. Our plan is to pay off Chad's truck and start building next year. I am so excited and overwhelmed at the same time. The neighbors next to us just finished there house and it is beautiful. I can not wait to see ours finished....
