Summer Days

I know it has been a very long time since I have posted anything, with work, the kiddos and summer the days seem to go by quickly.
We have had a great summer, each day brings something new. We have had a couple changes this summer....the biggest one being that we have a nanny. My mom has watched the girls the last few years, and I am soooo thankful for that, but with my sisters quickly approaching due date we decided it was best to let my mom be more of a grandma then a full time day care. Our new nanny's name is Keely, and she actually has watched the girls several times when they were younger. She worked at Primerose School for years and had about 16 toddlers in her class...needless to say I think she is up for the challenge! The other great thing with having a nanny is that we no longer have to wake up Grumpy Kaylee in the morning. She is definently like her momma!

This summer we have also had the chance to go on a few vacations and outings. In June we went to Florida with my parents, brother, sister and another family. WE had so much fun...the girls loved the beach, the house was very cool and we had a chance to visit with our family from Florida.
(Bif holding dinner...YUM!)

This last weekend we went out on our friends boat to Lake Conroe. Everyone, including the kiddos had a chance to ride on the tube. Kaylee didn't really like riding but Brooklyn on the other hand loved it! Ofcourse our little dare devil would enjoy being bumped in the air at high speeds, LOL. It was a long fun day and both kids took small cat naps to make it through. We are very lucky to have fun family days we can cherish forever.

Spring Break and More...

We had a huge Spring Break week...which we kicked off with a HUGE 3rd birthday party for Kaylee! We had all of our new neighbors, old friends and family over to our new house. We rented a jumper, boiled crawfish and just had a great day!

~Our little Tinker Bell~

Since there was no MDO due to Spring Break I decided it was a great time to get away from the day to day. We joined my friend Neile and her two kiddos on a camping trip at Livingston State Park. Before you think I am super brave I have to admit, I dragged my sister with me to help with my little monsters. We had a ton of fun, and it was so nice for the kids to get a chance to run wild.

Brooklyn and Brandon..They are actually the same age!

Needless to say we had a great week and were pretty worn out by the time the new week started. We have so many trips and things coming up...hopefully we will get a chance to see everyone!

BEAR

This last Monday was a pretty BIG day for us.. Chad went had his Dr's appt to assure we do not have any more kiddos and right after we went to pick up our new addition to the fam! I thought it was pretty funny and appropriate!

We suprised the girls at my parents house with there new puppy. I wanted to look up some cool doggy names but Kaylee had something allready in mind. As soon as Kaylee saw the puppy she said he looked like a Bear and there you have it, he was Bear ever since.

Breckenridge

Chad and I just got back form our awesome ski trip> It is so nice to have family to watch the girsl so that we can get away together every once in a while. Chad's sister Suzanne and her hubby Brian met us up in Colorado. WE all had a blast, we had 3 days of non stop skiing..Brian and Chad were skiing for hours upon hours straight! We also had a chance to go into town and have dinner and drinks. Breckenridge is such a beautiful town ful of little hole in the wall bars and restuarants and shopping of course. Needless to say we had a blast!

Little Photographer

I know it has been forever since my last post..believe me no one lets me forget about my slacking! Honestly I have no taken many pic's lately, not sure why just did not have any major events going on. So I decided to let Kaylee do the work for me. K got a digital camera for Christmas and has been taking pic's ever since, bare with me they are not the best quality but they are great considering they were all taken by a 2 yr old.

So here is our Family from a 2 yr olds point of view!

White Christmas in Texas

Even though we did get a little bit of unexpected snow before Christmas my little munchkins decided that was not enough! They went ahead and decided to create there own version of a white Christamas in the comfort of there living room.

I have no idea how they figured out how to remove all the batting from the inside of the couch cushions but they sure did it! Ya!

A Day As A Working Mom...

Monday's are always pretty crazy for anyone, and my day started around 7:00am, I was up dressed and out of the house with both girls heading to my mom's house by 7:30. I had heard about an accident on the radio and knew I needed to go the back way to work. I got to work about 5 minutes late..not bad considering everything I needed to do within an hour. Had a pretty decent Monday at work which is a nice change every since I changed jobs. Left work at 4:30 so I could get the girls before rush hour, sadly I did not here about the wreck I was heading into. The entire feeder rd was shut down and set me back an extra hour getting to my moms, so much for getting home early.
Finally reached my moms to find Kaylee and Brooklyn in the tub. Kaylee pooped in her pants (we are still potty training) and decided to take them off and rub the poop on Brooklyn! YUCK! Kaylee also was in a bad mood and had not listened to my mom all day. Ofcourse she did not change her ATTITUDE once I got there and had several spankens. NICE!
I finally left to go home so I could cook, Chad met me at the house and we had a great dinner, no big issues. We were grabbing pj's when Kaylee once again was not listening and fell off her grocery cart into her bed face first. She busted her nose, which I am sure she will have two black eyes (pic's to follow). We were in the middle of getting her nose to stop bleeding when Brooklyn started coughing in the living room and then PUCKED everywhere. Chad rushed her into the bath, I finished up with Kaylee and we quickly put them in the saftey of there beds.
WOW.... I really can not even comprehend what happened today, and I am thinking thats a good thing.
